About

I’m a musician from Shelby, NC. I have a wife and two kids and lead the music at Patterson Springs Baptist Church. I also write songs, play bass, guitar, percussion, sing, and whatever else may be needed.

My first band of note was called Flywheel. We played clubs in the Carolinas in the early – mid ’90s, and recorded one CD, which received some airplay on college radio.

My next big gig after that was with singer / songwriter Carl Cartee. I played bass for him for about 7 years total, and recorded one album in that time. I wrote songs on two of his other albums.

During that time I started the band Solomon’s Porch, which toured for about 10 years total and recorded one CD.

I also played bass and recorded with Steven Furtick who is now the Pastor of Elevation church. At the time, he was worship leader at Christ Covenant Church. I played with him for about 5 years, and recorded two well recieved albums.

Around that time, I picked up with Americana Records recording artist Mama Said. I played bass with them for a few years and recorded two discs.

I have toured and recorded with dozens of other artists over the years. I am mostly known for playing bass, but I also get gigs on guitar, singing, playing drums, and percussion.

In early 2010, I put out some very rough demos in a compilation I called Send Forth the Archeopteryx.  I am presently working on my first full length studio release as a solo artist, and will be booking shows for late 2010, early 2011 to support the release.
